Citadel Boosts Mortgage Team

Alternative investments giant Citadel Investment Group has expanded its mortgage and securitized products team with a quartet of hires, including a former top BlackRock executive.

Glenn Perillo was named head of securitized products research, joining Chicago-based Citadel from BlackRock, where he served as head of mortgage research and co-head of financial modeling at BlackRock Solutions, the firm’s technology platform, risk management and advisory subsidiary.

Citadel also named three new portfolio managers to its New York securitized products team, all focused on mortgages. Rajan Dabholkar joins from Proxima Alfa Investments, Brian McDonald from JPMorgan’s ABS principal investment group and Kevin Scherer from Midway Group.
