Mesirow Financial International UK has made a pair of new hires to support its Chicago-based alternatives subsidiary.
John Collins joins the firm as a senior analyst focused on European hedge fund manager research. He was previously a senior investment consultant focused on manager research at Watson Wyatt.
Dermot Keegan has also joined the firm, as head of the UK and continental Europe client coverage team. Previously, he was head of the institutional marketing and client service group of Old Mutual Asset Managers.
“These strategic additions not only allow us to serve our international client base more efficiently, but also give us a more effective means of finding and researching the best hedge fund managers globally,” said Martin Kaplan, CEO of Mesirow Advanced Strategies.
Mesirow Advanced Strategies currently manages more than US$16 billion in total assets.
