Dallas Buyout Shop Raises $700M Fund

Dallas-based private investment firm Brazos Private Equity Partners has closed Brazos Equity Fund III with commitments totaling more than $700 million.

Investors in Brazos’ third buyout fund include multinational government and corporate pension funds, endowments, foundations and financial institutions.

Brazos III will focus on middle-market companies with enterprise values between $50 million and $400 million operating primarily in the manufacturing, consumer, healthcare, distribution and financial services sectors.  In particular, Brazos III will invest in closely held and family-controlled businesses in the southwestern United States.

Brazos now has approximately $1.4 billion of capital under management.
