Description: Our client is seeking a prominent, top notch Analyst/Senior Analyst
Responsibilities:

Completion of operational due diligence reviews of hedge fund managers (of all strategies) and offshore administrators including:

• planning of due diligence visits;
• attendance at on site due diligence meetings with hedge fund managers and independent administrators;
• the writing of due diligence reports and the factual accuracy and content review of reports written by other staff members;
• and staff development support of junior analysts.
• To work flexible hours (including public holidays when required) to meet the needs of the company's clients.
• Other office support responsibilities for our new and growing New York office 

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of operational best practices in the hedge fund industry.  Candidates must:

• Be a CPA / CA with at least 3 years'experience, gained primarily in the hedge fund industry;
• Demonstrate knowledge of hedge fund strategies and financial instruments, including complex derivatives;
• Understand key operational procedures in the hedge fund industry, including controls over back office settlement and reconciliation, security valuation, compliance and fund structures;
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• The role  will require the preparation of detailed, written research reports;
• Be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision, assuming responsibility for a number of client engagements and building effective relationships with hedge fund managers, investors and other parties;
• Candidates who hold or have made progress towards additional investment industry qualifications such as the CFA designation will be at an advantage.
