Thames River Hires Compliance Tech. Specialist

Thames River Capital has hired a former regulatory technical specialist as compliance and risk manager.

Graeme Pollok served as technical specialist with the U.K. Financial Services Authority’s alternative investments team. Before joining the regulator in 2005, Pollok was a portfolio manager at Montpelier Asset Management.

“Current market conditions highlight the need for extremely tight internal risk control systems and at Thames River we have built an excellent team of individuals steeped in complaince,” Toby Hampden Acton, chief compliance and risk officer at Thames River, said. “Graeme has a rare combination of skills and depth of experience earned both as regulator and within the asset management industry, and he is an invaluable addition to the team.”
