London-based La Fayette Investment Management has launched a niche hedge fund of funds that invests in global macro strategies.

LaFayette, which manages over US$6 billion in assets, seeded the new fund with proprietary capital and Andre Pierre Visser, La Fayette’s founder, is managing the offering. The fund of funds currently invests in seven underlying global macro managers using discretionary, systematic and volatility strategies.

Visser founded La Fayette in 1992. Previously, he founded Société Parisienne de Gestion SA in Paris in 1988, where he was responsible for the build-up of new private banking activity as well as the investment management of the firm's assets.
