The Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois is ramping up its private equity portfolio with commitments to a trip of buyout funds.

In $38.7 billion plans’ Board of Trustees has approved $50 million allocations to GI Partners Fund III, Edgewater Growth Equity Partners III and Blackstone Capital Partners VI.
