Description: Advent Geneva Implementation Manager & Specialist, Assistant Vice President

The Geneva Implementation Specialist is responsible for closely managing and performing hands-on implementation for the complete rollout and migration efforts of Advent Geneva within the bank’s Hedge Fund Administration group. This role also consists of managing and participating in other accounting and fund related projects and gaining a full understanding all what we (as an fund administrator) do and can do better to help improve our processes and services for both our firm and our clients within our industry.

Job Duties will include (and not limited to):

• Gain a detailed understanding of all Hedge Fund Administrator’s systems and processes
• Closely manage and maintain responsibility for staff meeting their deliverables on a daily and a project basis for new fund conversions, new employees and product integration
• Oversee, develop/delegate and maintain all system level and process level documentation
• Manage the implementation of new functionalities within our portfolio and partnership accounting systems - product specifications, testing, training, system enhancements, troubleshooting and fund conversions
• Maintain a consistent level of positive energy, ambition and leadership throughout their teams and/or their individual projects
• Work directly with clients to set their expectations as set forth by the Global Development and HFA Operations teams
• Work with product developers on our proprietary and vendor based systems and reporting platforms (Sungard's Investier/InvestOne, Advent Geneva)
• Other responsibilities will include adding efficiencies to our internal process through the utilization of available technological programming (Excel, SQL, etc.)
• A detailed understanding of industry portfolio and partnership accounting systems – this includes products, industry, financial, competitors, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Strong knowledge base of the Advent Geneva product(s) – preferably the latest versions and knowledge of the new upcoming versions
• 8+ Years related industry experience – preferably at a direct/industry (HFA) competitor
• Strong level of experience with general ledger accounting, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Sungard’s InvestOne & Investier products is a major plus
• Knowledge of NTAS (Shareholder Services & Transfer Agency System) is a major plus
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions or a programming/scripting language
• Strong computers skills including Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• An ability to think critically and objectively
• The flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as needed
• Four year college degree required - accounting, finance, economics, etc.
