Real estate giant CB Richard Ellis has hired a Goldman Sachs property derivatives expert to oversee equity raising for its hedge fund joint venture.
Guy Powdrill has been named a senior director at CBRE Real Estate Finance, Financial News reports. Among his responsibilities will be raising equity for the Iceberg Alternative Real Estate Fund, which the firm runs alongside Reech AIM. Powdrill will also lead CBRE REF’s property derivatives trading desk.
At Goldman, Powdrill worked on the property derivatives sales desk.
