Richard Hotchkis has been appointed non-executive director of the Alternative Investment Strategies fund of hedge funds. Hotchkis, who already sits on the boards of a number of hedge funds, will also serve on the audit committee of Alternative Investment Strategies.
Hotchkis is currently a board member of Advance Frontier Markets, FRM Credit Alpha, F&C Event Driven and Gottex Market Neutral Trust funds. He retired from the board of the Dexion Absolute fund as non-executive director in 2006.
“It is good market practice when maintaining an independent board to introduce new blood, and Mr. Hotchkis’s extensive experience both in the industry and as a board member makes him the perfect candidate for the position,” said Nicholas Wilson, chairman of AIS.
