Ten Asset Management, a California-based quantitative equity manager, has hired Ali Erdem as senior vice president for investment management.
Erdem comes to Ten Asset from Algert Coldiron Investors, where he was a portfolio manager for the European Long/Short Portfolio. Previously, Ali was a senior vice president with ABP in the Netherlands, and a vice president and senior analyst with Freeman Associates in San Diego, Calif.
“We are very pleased to have Ali join us as he will help continue our existing research into new alpha producing factors,” said Bob Zimmer, chief investment officer of Ten Asset. “Our investment team worked with Ali at our former firm and are excited to work with him again as we know firsthand his level of expertise in these areas.”
Ten Asset currently manages some $500 million for institutional investors in long only and long/short strategies. The firm opened in 2004.
