Santa Barbara May Search For P.E. Consultants

The $1.6 billion Santa Barbara County Employees Retirement System may issue RFPs for specialized consultants for new private equity and real return investments at its Jan. 11 board meeting.

Oscar Peters, retirement administrator, said the board directed Pension Consulting Alliance to move forward in finalizing policies and guidelines for the two strategies at its board meeting last week. All other details regarding allocation size and search deadlines will likely be determined at the January meeting.
