Internet-based research and networking platform Hedge Connection is picking up the slack in the prime brokerage capital introduction space with the launch of its 2009 Investor Champagne Roundtable Series.
The format of the series allows for each hedge fund introduce their strategy and background to eight investors during a roundtable session. Each investor will also share information on the investment process and expectations of each manager, and, presumably, some sparkling wine.
“Our event will offer managers an increasingly rare opportunity to hear directly from sophisticated active hedge fund allocators,” said Lisa Vioni, president and CEO of Hedge Connection. “In addition, as prime brokerage cap-intro teams curtail activity, investors appreciate the opportunity to sit down with a number of funds at once.”
