Tokio Marine Asset Management London, the Japanese equities and hedge fund shop, has appointed Anji Stewart as vice president, business development.
In the newly-created role, Stewart will report to Polly Smith, senior vice president, and will have primary responsibility for investor relations as well as strategic marketing and branding of the firm’s funds.
Stewart's previous post was as investor relation manager at LNG Capital, the independent alternative asset management firm. Prior to this, she worked as a client relationship associate at RAB Capital.
“At a time when investors are even keener to find out about the health of their investments, it gives me great pleasure to have someone of Ms, Stewart's caliber joining the TMAL team,” said Yuichi Takayama, CEO of TMAL. “Anji's appointment, following closely on the heels of Polly Smith's, also further demonstrates TMAL's long-term commitment to the European market.”
