Asia’s biggest hedge fund manager has added James Sweeney as chief operating officer.
Artradis Fund Management said today it had named Sweeney, who joins from Credit Suisse Group, to the post. At the Swiss bank, Sweeney was managing director and head of the fund-linked products group in New York,
Singapore-based Artradis manages about US$3.5 billion in its two largest funds. In addition to being Asia’s largest hedge fund firm, last year it was also among the best, with its US$2.4 billion AB2 Fund returning 35% and its US$1.8 billion Barracuda fund returning 27%.
