Quantitative hedge fund IKOS, which specializes in the global equity, currency and commodity markets, has made a series of new appointments to its international management team.
The firm has appointed Steven Posner, formerly executive director of market risk management with Morgan Stanley in New York and London, as risk manager and a member of the company’s risk committee.
“The addition of Steven Posner to the team comes from a position of strength recognizing that independent risk management is of crucial importance to investors and investment managers and also the credibility of the industry,” said Martin Coward, co-founder.
The firm has also appointed six professionals to its research and development unit, bringing its headcount in Cyprus to more than 55.
