Hedge Fund Vets Form Due Diligence Firm

A pair of hedge fund veterans is taking advantage of an industry in flux by launching a firm specializing in due diligence. Lauri Martin and John Budzyna, founders of Precision Partners, will assist hedge fund managers prepare themselves for new institutional due diligence requirements.

Martin was previously the deputy head of structural risk for Union Bancaire Privée Alternative Investments, having spent eight years building and executing the firm’s due diligence program. Budzyna has served as the global head of the hedge fund industry practice at Arthur Andersen and subsequently at the hedge fund practice of Ernst & Young.

Most recently, he was a managing director at Deutsche Bank’s prime finance group as their global head of hedge fund consulting.  Budzyna is also the president of Hedge Funds Cares, a charitable organization dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse.
