Kohlberg Kravis Roberts last month appointed Liu Chuanzhi, Edward Tian and John Bond as senior advisors to the firm in China.
Chuanzhi is the president of Legend Holdings and former chairman and president of Lenovo Group (formerly the Legend Group). Tian is the founder and chairman of China Broadband Capital Partners and the vice chairman and former CEO of China Netcom Group, a fixed-line telecommunications operator in China and an international data communications operator in the Asia-Pacific region.
Bond was most recently group chairman of HSBC Holdings and is currently chairman of Vodafone Group, chairman of the mayor of Shanghai's International Business Leaders Advisory Council and a member of the China Development Forum, which meets annually in Beijing and provides advice to the Chinese government.
