Former CEO of Compaq and MCI Joins Silver Lake

New York and Menlo Park, Calif.-based Silver Lake Partners recently hired Michael Capellas, former CEO of MCI and Compaq, as a senior advisor. Capellas will work closely with the senior leadership and value creation teams at Silver Lake to help identify and develop new investment opportunities and provide counsel to Silver Lake’s portfolio companies.
Silver Lake Partners is focused exclusively on large-scale investing in technology and related growth industries. Its portfolio companies include Avago, Flextronics, Gartner, Instinet, IPC Systems, NASDAQ, Network General, NXP (formerly the semiconductors business of Royal Philips Electronics), Seagate Technology, Serena Software, SunGard Data Systems, Thomson and UGS.
