Chicago-based AlphaMetrix, a $1.8 billion managed account platform for institutional and accredited investors, has hired Richard Meade as executive director of client relations.

Before joining AlphaMetrix, Meade served as chief executive of UBS Managed Fund Services, helping launch and run the UBS managed futures platform. Prior to his stint at UBS, Meade ran futures client services at Goldman Sachs.

“Interest in the AlphaMetrix managed account platform, along with our research, risk management and due diligence services, has grown dramatically since Bernie Madoff scandal,” said Aleks Kins, chief executive of AlphaMetrix.
