Baronsmead Adds To Front Line

Baronsmead Partners, a specialist insurance broker to the alternative investment space, has appointed Shyam Moorjani as a partner and chief operating officer. Moorjani will be responsible for all client servicing, business development and building up of markets in the Channel Islands, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Prior to Baronsmead, Moorjani served as chief operating officer of the fund of hedge funds business at Stenham and head of client services at Key Asset Management.

“Shyam has wide and extensive experience in the investment industry with a particularly strong background in operations,” said Robert Kelly, managing partner. “This experience will be invaluable in servicing the needs of our client base, particularly during these challenging times.”

Baronsmead currently provides insurance services to over 60 hedge fund groups and over 400 hundred funds with combined assets under management of approximately $150 billion.
