Ex-Media Exec Joins Thomas H. Lee Partners

Former Viacom Inc. and Time Warner executive Richard Bressler has joined private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners as a managing director and head of its strategic resource group.

Bressler was most recently vice president and CFO of Viacom. Previously, he served as chairman and CEO of Time Warner Digital Media and executive vice president and chief financial officer of Time Warner. While at Time Warner, Bressler worked as part of the team responsible for negotiating the company's merger with America Online. That deal led to the loss of $200 billion in shareholder value.
