MF Global, the futures broker spun off from Man Group two years ago, has named a hedge fund founder its new global head of equities.
Peter Forlenza takes the reins at MF Global’s worldwide equities team, responsible for overseeing its equity and equity derivative business. He has previously served in the same role at Bank of America.
Since leaving BofA, Forlenza founded Outpost Investment Group, a New York-based global macro hedge fund shop. His resume also boasts a stint at Citigroup, where he rose to head of European equity trading and global head of portfolio trading.
“Peter’s proven leadership and extensive management experience makes him the ideal candidate to advance our equities growth strategy around the world,” said Bernard Dan, CEO of MF Global.
