A former Och-Ziff Capital Management partner has set up his own hedge fund shop in Hong Kong, focusing on Asia-Pacific stocks.
Raaj Shah, who left Och-Ziff in December as the New York-based hedge fund cut back its operations in Asia, and Sean Debow, formerly of Ivory Investment Management, have founded Matchpoint Investment Management Asia. The firm’s first fund, Matchpoint Asia, debuted last month with US$50 million.
