Hedge funds continued their winning run, ending September up 2% and 3Q09 up a substantial 6.4%. This follows the stellar 8% HFs returned in 2Q09- the best quarterly performance since 4Q99. HFs have now gained for the 7th straight month and are up ~14% YTD (and 15% in the last seven months). At the current pace they are on target for an annualized return of 19% -- the best this decade.
