QuantZ Capital Management is launching is preparing to launch its maiden hedge fund, seeking $500 million for the debut vehicle.
The firm, headed by Wall Street veteran Milind Sharma, is making a pair of key hires in preparation for the launch of its Quark Market Neutral Fund. An analyst from RBC—where Sharma managed a quantitative equity desk—is set to join the firm, along with a “marquee name” to serve as head of research, HedgeCo reports.
Sharma founded QuantZ after stints at RBC, Deutsche Bank, BlackRock, Merrill Lynch and Ernst & Young.
