L&G Sees Fit In King

Legal & General, the investment arm of British life insurer L&G Investment Management, has appointed Ian King, a former hedge fund executive, as head of its active European equities. Last year, King was involved in establishing KDR Europe, a European equity hedge fund.

Prior to KDR, King served as chief investment strategist for American Express Asset Management.

L&G Investment Management currently manages some £218 billion pounds (US$421.7 billion) in assets.
