Geneva-based Union Bancaire Privée has appointed Gideon Nieuwoudt as head of alternative investment research for Europe and Asia and deputy head of the bank's global alternative investment research operation.
Nieuwoudt, who will join UBP London in April, was previously a senior investment consultant at Watson Wyatt.
UBP is a private bank and an international asset manager for institutional and private clients. As of mid-2006, the group managed more than CHF102 billion ($83 billion) in assets, with a focus on alternative investments.
