Dover Management Hires CIO

Greenwich, Conn.-based Dover Management has hired Douglas Cliggott as chief investment officer. Previously, Cliggott served as president and chief investment officer of Race Point Asset Management, where he oversaw a U.S. long/short equity portfolio.

Dover manages a long/short equity hedge strategy and the Dover Responsibility Fund, a mutual fund. Both funds look for corporate philanthropy as a key provision to picking stocks. In addition, the firm also manages separately managed accounts.
 
Rick Fuscone, a former a senior advisor to Merrill Lynch, founded Dover Management in March 2001.
