Description: Black River Asset Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cargill, is an independently run global asset management company with over $10B assets under management, offices in ten countries and more than 20 years of worldwide investment experience. Black River, formerly Cargill’s proprietary trading operation Cargill Global Capital Markets, provides qualified investors with alternative investment strategies. Black River offers a wide range of investment products supported by experienced investment professionals, rigorous risk processes and a well-established global infrastructure.

Black River is looking to hire a Risk Manager for our Credit, Muni and ABS funds. This individual will partner with one of our six Principal’s and offer insight into the trading activities of the relevant funds. The Risk Manager must be able to build credible working relationships with the Principal and Portfolio Managers, proactively communicate their perspectives and not back away from the occasional disagreements and provide respected analysis in addition to the required reports and data. They will be required to work closely with the Principal responsible for our credit and mortgage activities, providing him with the risk analysis required for him to manage and run our credit platform. It is likely that the ideal candidate will have had some experience running a portfolio in one of the key areas and will have very strong inter-personal and organizational skills.
