Primary Responsibilities:
Hedge Funds
* Oversight of currently used Fund of Fund managers
* Monthly monitoring of performance and risk
* Quarterly face to face meetings
* Written summary of monthly and year to date performance and attribution for CIO
* Quarterly presentation materials to be used in Senior management and Finance Committee meetings
* Interface with relevant third party consultants
Oversight of selected, currently used, Single Hedge Fund managers
* Monthly monitoring of performance and risk
* Quarterly face to face meetings
* Written summary of monthly and year to date performance and attributions for CIO
* Quarterly presentation material to be used in Senior management and Finance Committee meetings
* Interface with relevant third party consultants
Due Diligence on prospective Fund to Fund managers
* Review written materials
* Work with Quant analyst to target prospective managers
* Visit target prospective managers
* Written summary of meetings
* Written rationale for recommendations regarding new proposed managers
* Quantitative: Performance, risk, benefits of non-correlation etc.
* Qualitative: Checklist and discussion of relevant criteria
* Lead internal debate of merits of recommendation
* Participate in group debate of managers recommended by other Alternative Manager staff
Due Diligence on prospective Single Hedge Fund managers
